Where did it all start

Cloete Family: As you’ve hopefully read the background of “Simple church”, we’ve started a home fellowship in our home in 2010. The “hallmark” of the fellowship was based relationships and well-being of the “flock”. We have since grown into a group of like-minded people chasing God’s vision of healthy families and community life. We’ve moved to the Western Cape in 2014 and had a sabbatical before we became involved in the leadership and projects of some communities in the Overstrand area. Also becoming more engaged in our friendship with Colin & Lara Bothma in the Table View area, we took hands with Shiloh Community Centre and also aligned with Dove International. Andre & Colin also felt called to Bethesda House to attend their “Leading by the Spirit Course” which emphasize the importance of missions.
Shiloh Community Centre: Western Cape South Africa
Colin and Lara Bothma were called to ministry in 2002 and have endeavored to live a life that gives glory to God every day. They are privileged to live in the beautiful Western Cape where they raise their three wonderful children, Sharisma, Joshua, and foster son Aidan. With hearts dedicated to serving God and their community, Colin and Lara provide leadership and guidance to the Shiloh Church family.
Welcome to Shiloh Church, a vibrant house church that embraces the foundation pillars of Matthew 28:18-20. Our primary focus is on making disciples, following the command of Jesus to go and make disciples of all nations.
At Shiloh Church, we highly value working together and partnering with other ministries. We are proud to be in partnership with Soul Winners Church, a dynamic community church located in Mafikeng under the leadership of Pastor Million and Rehab Mudengezerwa. Together, we collaborate to impact our communities and extend the love of Christ to those around us.
Community is at the heart of Shiloh Church. We strive to create an atmosphere of warmth, love, and support, where everyone feels valued and connected. Through shared experiences, fellowship, and genuine relationships, we foster a sense of belonging and unity among our members.
Intimacy with the Lord is a core value we hold dear at Shiloh Church. We seek to deepen our personal relationships with God through worship, prayer, and studying His Word. Our gatherings are centered around encountering His presence and allowing His Spirit to guide and transform us.
Worship is a vital part of our Shiloh Church gatherings, as we express our love and adoration for God. Through uplifting music, heartfelt praise, and genuine worship, we create an atmosphere where everyone can encounter God’s presence and experience His power.
We are passionate about putting our faith into action through outreach and evangelism. Recognizing that faith without works is incomplete, we actively engage with our local community and beyond, partnering with Soul Winners Church and other ministries. Together, we reach out to the lost, share the love of Christ, and meet the practical needs of those around us.
In our house church, we believe that the Word of God is our guide and foundation. We study and apply it to our lives, seeking to live out its principles with authenticity and conviction. Through meaningful discussions, teachings, and application of biblical truths, we grow in our understanding and obedience to God’s Word.
Shiloh Church is covered by the Apostolic team of Brian Sauders, Pastors Merle and Cheree Shenk, and Kevin Kazemi. Shiloh is part of DOVE International, a worldwide family of believers in Christ involved in churches and ministries located on six continents. You can learn more about DOVE International at www.dcfi.org.
At Shiloh Church, we strive to embody these values, fostering a transformative environment where disciples are made, lives are changed, and the love of Christ is shared with the world.
Partner with us
If you feel you are called to Home Church (Relational) Church plant, or you have already planted/started a Home Fellowship and you need alignment and connection in the Body of Christ, please contact us. We have over the years seen and experienced many Home Fellowships being started and then close down because of a lack of vision and connection with the rest of the Body.
Let us start a movement of relational churches impacting our communities all over the world.
PS. Leadership need mentoring and constant accountability to each other.
