Son Soli Project 

We were given the opportunity by a dear friend, Rev. Lyndon Nicholsson from Mooiriver in KZN, to distribute the solar geyser and solar cooker to the poor and destitute. These products were designed and patented by him as a gift to the poor.

Important information:

10 L water reach 49 – 51 degrees C every 2 hours

10 L water reach 72 degrees C every 4 hours

Water heater must follow the sun at all times

Best starting time is 8.00 am

On hazy days the temp will only reach approx 50 degrees C

Total cloud cover prevents the heater from working

Note: Electric geysers are set at 55 degrees C

Guarantee: Solar geyser has 6 months guarantee.

Son Soli geaser can also be mounted on the roof.

 

Sun cooker 

 

 

 

 

The cooker is able to reach temperatures of 130 degrees C in summer, and 110 degrees C in winter. Very effective with a cooking pot of 1.2 liters.

The cooker will cook:

• Porridge
• Putu
• Dry beans
• Bread
• Vegetables
• Meat
• Rice

Cooking time: 2-3 hours.

Weight: 4kg

Size of hot plate: 150 x 150 in diameter

Requires direct sunlight to work effectively. Adjust 4 times per day.
